Peroni
Tuscany, Italy
Known all over the world for his “tacco”, a small coin case completely handmade, a product which really represents the style and passion of this company.
Peroni’s brothers, Piero and Roberto, founded their fur and leathergoods workshop in Florence in 1956. Today the third generation of Peroni, Maurizio and Marco, is carrying on the tradition. The leather used is vegetable-tanned; it means that no chemical substances are used in its tanning, but only natural, environment-friendly ones. It takes 37 steps to produce one single coin case: through this processing, the typical rigidity of “cuoietto fiorentino” is reached and they can assemble resistant objects without stitches needed. One of the peculiarities of these is the beauty of hand-colored leather, in traditional but trendy colors. Florence is in the heart of this family, this makes their products and bags unique. Antiquity models are reimagined in the modern-day, in order never to fail the lasting union between the item function and beauty.
